Attending the ceremony, on behalf of Petrolimex, was Deputy General Director Nguyen Ngoc Tu, along with representatives from the Group’s specialised departments. Representing Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) were Assoc. Prof. Huynh Dang Chinh – Vice President of the University, along with representatives from functional departments and leaders of the university’s member schools.

The Petrolimex Scholarship programme is implemented based on a strategic partnership agreement between Petrolimex and HUST. The programme aims to strengthen the collaborative ties between the two organisations, encourage students with outstanding academic and conduct records, and provide opportunities for students to gain practical experience, internships, and career orientation within Petrolimex.

Since the second semester of the 2023–2024 academic year, the programme has awarded 80 scholarships to 37 undergraduate and advanced engineering students specialising in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Chemistry & Life Sciences, and Economics. Many students have received continuous support until graduation. Among the graduates, the majority achieved "Excellent" or "Outstanding" honours; some have progressed to advanced engineering programmes and continue to receive scholarship support from the Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Dang Chinh acknowledged the effective and sustainable partnership between Petrolimex and HUST in training and student support activities. He emphasised that the scholarship programme not only provides financial assistance but also serves as a powerful motivator for students to continue their efforts in studying, personal development, and holistic growth.

Representing Petrolimex, Deputy General Director Nguyen Ngoc Tu affirmed that the Group consistently prioritises investment in education and the development of young human resources. He expressed pride that the scholarship programme has been inspiring HUST students to strive and excel, gradually molding them into potential assets—not only for Petrolimex but also for the nation’s future development.

During the event, Petrolimex presented scholarship certificates to 20 outstanding HUST students for the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year. As one of the recipients, Nguyen Ngoc Giang from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering expressed his gratitude to the Group and the University. He pledged to continue his academic efforts and enhance his specialised knowledge to live up to the trust and expectations of both organisations.

The Petrolimex Scholarship Award Ceremony reaffirms the pioneering role of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group in supporting education and investing in the younger generation—a vital foundation for the sustainable development of both the enterprise and the country.

Previously, on November 19, 2025 at Petrolimex headquarters (No 1 Kham Thien, Ha Noi), Petrolimex and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) organised a meeting with new students. The event aims to select outstanding new candidates who met the criteria for the Group’s scholarship programme for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.
